I don’t know about you, but I definitely feel as though I’ve eaten my weight in cookies these last couple weeks, and while I don’t regret a single crumb, my stomach is begging me for greens. After an apparent healthy foods hiatus induced by the holidays, and our recent carb-fests, I made my first smoothie of the new year yesterday, and it was green. My gut was elated, and I feltgood.I was beginning to forget what an avocado tastes like!

It’s nice to kick back and indulge in comfort foods over the holidays, but it’s so easy to overdo it. There’s just so much baking, eating out, celebrating. We fall out of our routines for awhile, and it can be hard to get back into them. We suspected you might be feeling a little deprived of some green goodness, so we wrangled up 15 of the best looking green smoothies we could find. From a post-workout protein smoothie, to some gorgeous layered smoothies, we’ve found something for everyone. If you’re new to putting some green in your smoothie, don’t be alarmed!     So glad you did this post. My husband has been on a smoothie rampage since last week, so I’m happily reaping the rewards. Although there was one extremely spicy one, when he underestimated the power of cayenne pepper, that I couldn’t finish.

    I think I just had a small heart attack to see you included a recipe from my blog. What a true honor. Thank you Ali and Hayley. Not only am I right there with you thinking these are the cure for the holiday blues, but I love me a green smoothie any time, so I am really psyched to try some of these.
