Derby County’s next seven fixtures vs Championship relegation rivals
Derby County gave their hopes of an unlikely escape from relegation a boost in the second half of the 2021/22 season by returning to winning ways last weekend.
Louie Sibley’s late winner against Peterborough United at Pride Park on Saturday saw the Rams overtake their London Road opponents in the process.
Wayne Rooney’s side are now 22nd in the Championship table, five points behind Reading in 21st place after recording a surprise win over Preston North End last time out before Veljko Paunović left as manager to be replaced by acting boss Paul Ince.
Here’s a look at the next six fixtures for the bottom four teams in the division (there’s an 8-point gap between 21st-placed Reading and 20th-placed Hull City) ahead of the March international break…
