Saint Joseph’s Athletics hosts a successful giving day

The Saint Joseph Athletics Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Saint Joseph community – alumni, student-athletes, staff, parents, family and friends – for your support of Saint Joseph’s Day of Giving on March 21.

Thanks to the generosity of 1,780 donors, the Hawks have raised more than $216,000 to support student-athletes in the department. A total of 649 former student-athlete donors participated, and 40 athletic ambassadors led efforts to increase engagement and support for their programs.

Thanks to the generosity of Evelyn and Anthony ’60 Carfagno, nine of our university programs received additional programmatic support through the day’s competitive challenges.

Women’s soccer and men’s lacrosse each received an additional $5,000 in funding as the women’s and men’s teams with the most individual donations. In the one-on-one former student-athlete participation challenge, field hockey, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s tennis, women’s lacrosse, baseball, women’s basketball and softball all won an additional $1,000 to support their respective programs.

Donations to the Hawk Athletic Fund are essential in providing our student-athletes with the resources to excel in the classroom, in the community and in competition. If you haven’t already, join the team behind our teams, the Hawk Athletic Fund, and support the transformational student-athlete experiences at Saint Joseph’s University by donating today.
