Waze once again updated with Santa Car icon and navigation voice

If you’ve been a long-time Waze user, you probably already know that the app usually receives updates with limited-time car icons, moods, and navigation voices specifically to celebrate certain milestones.

Most of these updates are part of the collaboration between Waze and other companies, but this time the navigation app receives a pack of goodies that are absolutely unsurprising.

It’s the Santa update, the same one that originally released last year that lets you party even while driving.

The update includes a new Santa icon to change your appearance on the map, as well as Santa’s sleigh as a car icon – keep in mind that this is only visible to you, so it doesn’t change the way you present yourself to others. And finally, Wazers can activate Santa’s navigation voice to let him guide while driving.

It only takes a few seconds to activate the Santa package in Waze.

Assuming you’re already on the most recent version released for your mobile device, simply launch the app and look for a new entry called Drive with Santa in the main menu (the one where you see your favorite places and the most popular destinations. most recent).

Just tap on it, then choose exactly what you want to activate.

The Santa package in Waze does not require installing a new version of the app, as the update takes place on the server side, so you should only see the new option after launching the navigation solution. If it does not appear, a reboot should activate the new entry in the main menu.

In the meantime, Waze has a lot to fix, especially on CarPlay. Users always complain of an audio nightmare when Waze is running because the app supports volume controls and makes it impossible to adjust the level of phone calls and play music. Waze has yet to recognize this issue, so we have no idea if a fix is coming or not.
