The secret to preparing soft Ghanaian butter bread unveiled-For many years, bread has been a great source of food for people across the globe. It is a great source of dietary fiber, carbohydrates, iron, B-vitamins, selenium, and magnesium. Though most people prefer getting it from bakery stores, learning how to bake your home-made treats helps you save a few bucks.

And today, we will take you through the secret to baking soft Ghanaian butter bread. When prepared right, the bread can melt your mouth.

  1. Eating bread crust is said to be healthier than the inner part. Research has shown that bread crust is an excellent source of dietary fiber and pronyl-lysine (antioxidant) known to have colorectal cancer-inhibiting properties.

Ingredients

1& ½ cups of fresh milk

500g all-purpose baking flour

1 tsp nutmeg (freshly grated)

2tsp dry yeast

50g sugar

¼ cup margarine

1 tsp butter flavoring

2tsp sea salt

-Guide-

  1. Put all the dry ingredients in a dough mixer and turn it on. Mix it on low for about five minutes until they are thoroughly mixed.
  2. Add your milk and melted butter and mix for ten minutes when on medium.
  3. If you don’t have a dough mixer, you can mix your dry ingredients on a large basin and mix them with the help of a whisky. Put melted butter and milk and knead until you get a wet and glumpy dough.
  4. Leave the dough to cool down for about half an hour. Grease your bread pan and shape your dough. Place it inside and let it sit for one and half hours.
  5. Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees. Place your bread pan in the middle rack and let it bake for forty minutes.
  6. Remove the pan and place it in a cooling rack to cool down. Slice to your desired sizes and enjoy with tea, coffee or milk
